Susan Vorpahl is seeking her first term as an East Hampton Town Trustee. Born and raised in Amagansett to Mary and the late Stuart B Vorpahl Jr., she has a rich family history dating back many generations. Growing up on the water with her father a commercial fisherman and former East Hampton Town Trustee, Susan understands how vital the management of our towns waterways, beaches and trails are for the benefit of all our citizens. Susan has raised her two children, Kyle and Meghan with the same regard and appreciation of our towns unique history and beauty. Working as a Public Safety Dispatcher for the East Hampton Town Police Department, a volunteer EMT-B with the East Hampton Village Ambulance Association, a certified CPR instructor and a member of the East Hampton Healthcare's Public Access Defibrillator Program, Susan knows how important it is to give back to our community. Susan has the experience and ability to think, act and solve problems under pressure. Supporting our fishermen, ensuring public access to our beaches, Trustee roads and trails and exigently addressing the many complex issues in keeping our ponds, harbors and bays open to navigation and free from pollution are imperative. Maintaining and upholding the significance of what the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of East Hampton represent, would be an honor for Susan to serve under.
